Apple Cobbler

This delicious cobbler is a family favorite. We also modify this recipe a bit to make peach cobbler, using sweet farm fresh peaches, pecans, and golden raisins. Make several and freeze a few prior to baking. Then in the winter pop one in the oven for a delicious summer fresh treat!

Ingredients:

1 package French Vanilla cake mix

3/4 cup butter melted

1 cup quick oats

1 cup walnuts, chopped

6 medium apples, cored and sliced

1/2 cup raisins

1/2 cup water

3 Tablespoons sugar

2 teaspoons cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

Directions:

Preheat 350 degrees, grease a 9 x 13 pan

Base: Mix cake mix, 3/4 cup butter, oats, walnuts. Press 2 1/2 cups of base mixture into bottom of pan

Filling: in saucepan cook apples, raisins, water, sugar, and spices, cook on low, stirring occasionally, 10 min

Spread filling over base. Sprinkle remaining base mixture on top. Bake 25 minutes.
